Camp Gladiator!

Alright, so yesterday I officially signed up for Camp Gladiator! I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with exercise. I love the way I feel when I’m in shape, but hate when I have to start over after taking time off. I grew up dancing, so I find class-style workouts to be the most appealing. I’m embarrassed to say, I hadn’t even heard of CG until a few months ago, and it’s been around since 2009. My friend Erin has been going for over a year, and she’d been encouraging me to try it for quite awhile. As a Bold Member, she had the opportunity to give me a free month of classes to try, and I’m so glad I did!

The workouts usually take place at different schools around the area.  For instance, we’ve been going to the one at Alexander Elementary on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:45.  Our trainer is John, and he pushes us to stretch our goals each day, but always encourages us to go at our own pace.  I was a little nervous to go to my first workout, it had been awhile since I’d done more than basic cardio at the gym.  Plus it can be a little bit intimidating working out with a group of people I didn’t already know.  Everyone was so nice and welcoming.  There were a variety of fitness levels there, all with the goal of improving. I didn’t feel a bit out of place, everyone is so focused on pushing themselves, no one was judging me at all. After just a few days I knew I wanted to “Go Bold” (sign up for a membership.
So here we go, step 1 to transforming into a happier and healthier me.  Whatever your goals are, whether it’s building strength or losing weight, I would definitely recommend checking it out!
